Today, August 30, a round table on “The national concept for the development of integrated plant protection (IPP) in the Kyrgyz Republic” was held. The event was attended by the Director of the Federation of Organic Development “BIO-KG” Aidaraliev Iskenderbek Rysbekovich.
During the round table discussion the situation with pesticides and fertilizers in the Kyrgyz Republic was discussed. The participants were also introduced to the purpose of integrated plant protection policy, IPP implementation strategies and institutional structure at different levels.
Having analyzed the available data, the parties concluded that IPP is now considered worldwide as one of the best practices, based on a sound ecological understanding of the cultivation and storage of different crops.
Thus, the implementation of this policy will have a positive impact: the use of harmful pesticides will be reduced, the level of production will increase, while improving the environment and public health.
