Prices of mineral fertilizers in the world have risen

In 2021, there was an increase in prices for mineral fertilizers imported into our country on the world market, so, in comparison with 2020, unit prices rose by 3.0-5.0 soms, the official website of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic reports. In order to provide farmers with mineral fertilizers at affordable prices, the relevant department, together with private supplier companies, periodically organized promotions for the sale of mineral fertilizers at cost.  

Below are the average prices for the main types of mineral fertilizers as of November 22, 2021.  

– ammonium nitrate: in Batken region – 25.0-25.5 som/kg, in Jalal-Abad region – 25.0-25.5 som/kg, in Osh region – 25.0-25.5 som/kg, in Chui region – 25.0-26.0 som/kg;

— urea: Batken region — 26,0-27,0 som/kg, in Jalal-Abad oblast — 26,0-28,0 som/kg, in the Osh region — 25,0-26,0 som/kg, in the Issyk-Kul region — 27,0 som/kg, in the Talas region — 27,0 som/kg, in the Chui region — 26,0-27,0 som/kg;

— superphosphate: throughout the country — 15,0-17,5 kgs/kg;

– ammophos: in the Chui region – 45.0-47.0.0 som/kg, in the Naryn region – 30.0 som/kg, in the Talas region – 45.0-48.0 som/kg.

As you know, the main reason for the increase in prices for mineral fertilizers in 2021 compared to last year is the increase in factory prices of manufacturing plants, as a result of the rise in the cost of raw materials on the world market due to the growth of the US dollar.
