Developing organic agriculture in the Kyrgyz Republic

The best gardening traditions: Farmers went to Tashkent to increase the potential

Since July 12, the Organic Movement Federation BIO-KG with the support of the project USAID on Competitiveness, Trade and Job Creation in Central Asia (CTJ) is conducting an introductory tour to Uzbekistan.

Ten representatives of commercial structures from Kyrgyzstan visit enterprises for the cultivation and processing of garden crops.

The main purpose of the trip to the neighboring country is to raise awareness of Kyrgyz farmers about innovative approaches in agriculture and exchange best practices in growing fruit trees.

The program includes a visit to fruit orchards and a processing line in the Tashkent region.

Increasing the potential of Kyrgyz gardeners in mastering advanced methods of growing orchards, such as intensive planting, pruning of trees, soil management, selection of the best varieties of fruits and effective garden management, are the main priority of the study trip to Uzbekistan.
